As humans were not perfect - as was pointed out in a recent Downton Abbey promo photo flub that went viral earlier this week – we all make mistakes. Having the ability to laugh at yourself shows not only that you have a sense of humor but is a sign of maturity.

The cast of Downton Abbey showed just those attributes and more. After the embarrassing Instagram photo incident, where a plastic water bottle was noticed on mantlepiece, the cast responded by poking fun of the incident while promoting a good cause, the charity WaterAid UK.

Yes folks, there was an award ceremony last night.

The Prime Time Creative Arts Emmy Awards were held Saturday night at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles to honor programs and individual achievements. The ceremony, held the week before the bigger Prime Time Emmys, honored the many talented individuals who work behind the scenes as well as guest performers who appeared in TV series.

Taking home the most Emmy awards was HBO with 15 awards, followed by NBC with 10; PBS with 8; FOX and Netflix tied with 7; CBS with 6; ABC had 5 respectfully. You can see the complete tabulation of awards here....

Filmmaker Menahem Golan Dies
Veteran Israeli filmmaker Menahem Golan has passed away at the age of 85.

For those of you who grew up in the 1980s, you may remember just a few of his more that 200 films that he produced and directed.

Some of his 80s action flicks included "Blood Sport" starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, "The Delta Force," with Chuck Norris, "Death Wish" and its many sequels starring Charles Bronson are just a few movies on his extensive resume.

Yes, it's over again for Danity Kane - the band has broken up for a second time after reforming in 2013 from their 2009 breakup.

For those that don't remember, the all girl group was formed way back in 2005 by P. Diddy in the MTV reality show “Making the Band.” DK is most know for their two top 10 hits, “Show Stopper” in 2006 and “Damaged,” 2008 (ironic isn't it).

Things got a little catty Saturday night between Joan Rivers and CNN news host Fredricka Whitfield.

Rivers made an appearance on CNN to promote her new book “Diary of a Mad Diva” and stormed out of the studio in “mad diva” fashion, after objecting to a line of questions from CNN host Whitfield.

Melissa McCarthy's comedy Tammy proved to be no match against Transformers: Age of Extinction over the holiday weekend. With the fourth of July falling on a Friday this year, the overall weekend box office was predictably low – most families opting for picnics and fireworks.

Michael Bay's 4th installment of the Transformer franchise did an estimated $10.6 million Friday night with estimates that the Friday-Sunday numbers should be around $40 million.

Move over J.J. Abrams, it looks like Rian Johnson has next dibs to write and direct the second installment of Star Wars revival. Reports on Deadline.com indicate that Disney is wasting no time in lining up top talent for the Lucasfilm franchise.

For those not familiar with Rian Johnson, he wrote and directed the sci-fi original Looper, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis.
