Penguin Books has released the movie tie-in edition of "The Three Muskateers" by Alexandre Dumas. One of the most popular adventure stories ever written, the swashbuckling epic chronicles the adventures of D'Artagnan, a brash young man from the countryside who journeys to Paris in 1625 in hopes of becoming a muskateer and guard to King Louis XIII.
Before long he finds treachery and court intrigue - and also three companions: the daring swordsman Athos, Porthos and Aramis.
The book is translated by Robert Pevear.
In the new film "The Three Muskateers" Logan Lerman plays D'Artagnan, the brash young man who bands up with the famed trio (Luke Evans, Matthew Macfadyen, and Ray Stevenson) to fight the corrupt and dreaded Cardinal Richelieu (Christoph Waltz). Mads Mikkelsen, Orlando Bloom and Milla Jovovich co-star.
