Chad Johnson Sentenced To One Year Probation; Cannot Contact Evelyn Lozada

Disgraced football star Chad Johnson has reached a plea agreement to resolve his misdemeanor domestic violence charge.

Under the agreement reached earlier this week, Johnson pled no contest to the charge. On Friday morning, a Florida judge approved the deal which will have Johnson serve one year probation, complete batterers’ intervention counseling, and pay restitution for medical costs. He will not be allowed to have contact with his ex-wife, Evelyn Lozada.

Johnson head-butted Lozada during a domestic dispute back in August, just weeks after the two exchanged vows.

The penalty is typical for this type of case, said Assistant State Attorney Sarahnell Murphy, who handled the case for the Broward State Attorney’s Office.
