'Scream 4' Review: 'Two Jews On Film' Shout Yes For This Horror Franchise (Video)
'Scream 4' is directed by Wes Craven and written by Kevin Williamson...And they nailed it. They've brought back all your favorite characters (that weren't killed off in Scream 1,2 and 3) plus several new ones.
Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) now the author of a self-help book returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette) and Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) who are now married. Gale however is not very happy. She's going through major writer's block. After writing six 'Stab' books, she's run out of ideas. Apparently small-town living isn't very inspiring. But of course...now that Sidney's back...things are about to change.
As for Ms. Prescott, she is a new woman...confident and 'no longer a victim'. She's finally able to reconnect with her cousin Jill (Emma Roberts) and her Aunt Kate (Mary McDonnell) who she hasn't seen in over ten years....Sydney knows her past is finally behind her.
Unfortunately, there's a psycho out there that has other ideas. And his name is Ghostface. That's right...he's back and he's bringing his big, sharp knife along with him.
Soon Sidney, Gale, Dewey, Jill and her friends are in big time danger...and...
People start dropping like flies...in very imaginative and creative ways.
'Scream 4' is wonderfully scary, funny, with great twists. Plus the film never takes its self too seriously.
The whole cast including, Rory Culkin, Anna Paquin, Kristen Bell, Aimee Teegarden, Brittany Robertson, Anthony Anderson, Marley Shelton and Nico Tortorella do a great job.
Fans of the 'Scream' franchise will not be disappointed...And even if you've never seen any of the 'Scream' films...don't miss this one. The 'Two Jews On Film' actually agreed on this movie...4 1/2 bagels out of 5.
'Scream 4' opens in theaters, Friday April 15, 2011.
