Toys R Us Pulls 'Breaking Bad' Figures From Stores

October 22nd, 2014 11:25am EDT
Breaking Bad
Toys R Us has ceased selling action figures of characters from AMC's hit series "Breaking Bad" after a Florida woman started a petition on website Change.org asking the company to remove them.

Susan Schrivjer says she was "shocked and appalled" that the store -- which promotes itself as a place "where a kid can be a kid" -- would carry such figures -- ones that include accessories such as guns and a batch of crystal meth.

The figures are aimed at adult collectors and are displayed in an area of the stores designated for the over 16 crowd, but Schrivjer's argument is over the drugs.

Selena Gomez & Orlando Bloom Spotted At LAX, Fuel Dating Rumors
Selena Gomez and Orlando Bloom are sparking relationship rumors after the pair was spotted leaving Los Angeles International Airport just moments away from each other on Monday. Bloom, 37, reportedly trailed behind Gomez, 22, at LAX, according to the New York Daily News.

It isn't the first time the duo has gotten tongues wagging about their status. Back in April they were seen together outside "The Chelsea Handler Show." It's significant because Gomez's on/again, off/again boyfriend Justin Bieber allegedly had a fling with Bloom's ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

In July, Bloom and Bieber had a l...

Florida Woman Petitions Toys R Us To Stop Selling 'Breaking Bad'
UPDATE:

Toys R Us has pulled the "Breaking Bad" action figures from its shelves. A spokesperson for the company told the Associated Press on Tuesday, "Let's just say, the action figures have taken an indefinite sabbatical."

So there you go, adult collectors -- now you'll have to find collectibles online or at specialty dealers who will most likely charge much more than TRU's retail prices.

As for now, you can still pick up the 8-inch "Nightmare on Elm Street" Freddy Krueger action doll.

A Florida mother is freaking out because Toys R Us is selling "Breaking Bad" action figures.

Renee Zellweger Is Nearly Unrecognizable At Elle Women In Hollyw
Renee Zellweger showed up to the ELLE Women in Hollywood Awards in Las Angeles, Calif., on Monday looking decidedly different from the last time she attended a public event.

Zellweger, 45, appeared to have had a little work done on her face around her brows and eyes. She's never admitted to having plastic surgery. Her boyfriend Doyle Bramhall II accompanied her to the event.

Tongues started wagging about the actress nearly a year ago during the Giorgio Armani One Night Only event in New York City. The usually squinty eyed star had a much wider eyed appearance, causing some to speculate th...

Screamfest LA 2014 Review - Vengeance Themed 'Julia' Like Nothing You've Seen

October 21st, 2014 1:20pm EDT
Screamfest LA 2014 Review - Vengeance Themed 'Julia' Like Nothin
Victimized women seeking revenge is a controversial theme that movies have tackled quite badly of late. Either it’s done in a shameful pop culture style (the horribly executed “The Brave One”) or in a standard blood and guts approach (the slasher remake of “I Spit On Your Grave”), but most lack the respect of their subject matter to make any sort of deep impact. In a lot of cases what’s missing is not the originality in the vengeance area itself, but the emotional through line that hangs over a person who has been brutalized to the point of detachment. It is in this dark and less travell...
