Lady Gaga's Ex Spurred Her On To Succeed

Lady Gaga was determined to succeed as a pop star after an ex-boyfriend dismissed her as a complete failure.
The "Poker Face" hitmaker has dominated music charts across the world since the release of her debut single "Just Dance" in 2008.
She has landed a total of six Grammy Award nominations to date, claiming two of the prestigious honors at last month's ceremony - and it's all thanks, in part, to a bitter former lover.
She tells Cosmopolitan magazine, "I had a boyfriend who told me I'd never succeed, never be nominated for a Grammy, never have a hit song, and that he hoped I'd fail.
"I said to him, 'Someday, when we're not together, you won't be able to order a cup of coffee at the f--king deli without hearing or seeing me.'"
