Mary-Kate Olsen Caught Up In Airplane Drama

Mary-Kate Olsen was caught up in an airborne drama on Sunday when her plane was forced to make an emergency landing following an electrical fire in the cockpit.
The former child star was flying from New York to Los Angeles with her boyfriend when a blaze broke out at the front of the aircraft, cracking the windshield. The pilot was forced to make an unscheduled landing in Virginia, where emergency vehicles greeted the plane on the runway at Dulles airport and passengers were ferried to safety.
Publicist Phil Lobel, who was onboard the flight, tells ETOnline.com, "(It was a) harrowing experience. (The cracked windshield) obscured the pilot's ability to conduct a visual landing."
Olsen is said to have been unhurt in the incident, along with Californication actress Pamela Adlon and Jersey Boys star Jarrod Spector, who were also onboard the plane.
