Sleeper Hit 'Despicable Me' Makes $60 Million At Box Office

Despicable Me Steve Carell is a hit in 3-D - the comedian's animated family movie "Despicable Me" has come alive at the top of the box office with opening weekend takings of $60.1 million.
The film, about a villain who plans to steal the moon, also features the voices of Jason Segel, Russell Brand and Dame Julie Andrews and is Universal Pictures' first 3-D animation.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse continues to take a bite out of the box office - the latest installment in the vampire franchise is in second place with $33.35 million, while Robert Rodriguez's Predators debuts at three with $25.3 million.
Toy Story 3 and The Last Airbender round out the new top five.
