Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson: 'I Make More Money Fighting'

July 29th, 2010 11:00am EDT

Quinton Rampage JacksonThe A-Team star Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson doubts he will take on any more movie roles - because he makes more money as a mixed martial artist than as an actor.

The muscle man began his career fighting in Japan's combat sports scene before joining the Ultimate Fighting Championship in the U.S.

He stepped out of the ring after landing a high-profile role in the blockbuster, replacing Mr. T in the big-screen reboot of the 1980s series, but Jackson has no desire to further pursue acting - unless he's offered a bumper pay check for his next role.

He tells Britain's The Sun, "For what I get paid for doing movies now I would end up in the poor house. I have a lot of bills. I make more money fighting. I don't know if it's politically incorrect to talk about money, but I didn't start fighting to be famous. I started fighting to put food on the table - I got kids, you know? My family in Memphis are quite poor, so I have to take care of them."
