Leonardo DiCaprio's sci-fi blockbuster Inception is the toast of Hollywood's special effects business after winning four awards at the industry's top prizegiving.
The box office hit, directed by Christopher Nolan, reigned at the Visual Effects Society Awards on Tuesday night, scooping the show's top trophies including best vfx in a vfx-driven feature, as well as honours for compositing, created environments and models.
Nolan also received the organisation's Visionary Award, telling the crowd as he picked up his prize, "I'm as dependant on vfx, maybe more so, as any other director out there."
Other winners at the ceremony included Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, which was honoured for the creation of animated character, for Dobby the elf, and How To Train Your Dragon, which scored three wins.
In the TV categories, war drama series The Pacific scooped three awards and Boardwalk Empire landed two.
