Cheryl Burke Did Not Want Chris Brown On 'Dancing With The Stars'

March 30th, 2011 8:51am EDT

Cheryl Burke TV star Cheryl Burke urged Dancing With The Stars bosses to reconsider their decision to have Chris Brown perform on the show on Tuesday night because she's a former victim of abuse.

The professional dancer, who is paired with wrestler/rocker Chris Jericho on the current season of the hit show, has spoken out about her years of torment at the hands of an ex-boyfriend and she finds it offensive that Brown, who was convicted of assaulting former girlfriend Rihanna, was even considered for the programme.

Upset Burke fumes, "As a victim of domestic violence I don't agree with him coming on the show but it's out of my control."
