Tom Hanks Tom Hanks will bring a touch of Hollywood glamour to Yale University's graduation ceremonies this year after he was invited to attend as the guest speaker.

The star will send the class of 2011 off with a bang when he addresses graduating students on Class Day, on the eve of the prestigious school's annual commencement.

And Hanks admits he's honored to take on the task.

He tells TV mogul Oprah Winfrey, "It's pretty cool, it's a big responsibility. I'm scribbling down notes, seeing what's gonna work, what's not gonna work. I'll come up with something."

Yale guest speakers traditionally appear on Class Day instead of the actual graduation.
