Rihanna and Usher were among the stars who gave emotional tributes to late superstar Michael Jackson on the second anniversary of his death.
The "Thriller" legend passed away on June 25, 2009 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his California home. The shocking news threw fans into mourning, and two years on a number of famous faces are still grieving.
Rihanna wrote in a post on her Twitter.com page on Saturday, "MJ We miss you, we love you... often imitated, never duplicated!!! You will live on forever!," while Usher adds, "MJ... Rest the dead!! You live on through what you blessed us all with. Your compassion and dedication compels us to be our greatest..."
Glee star Darren Criss is currently on tour with the stars of the TV show, and on Saturday night they played at London's O2 Arena, the venue which was due to host Jackson's doomed This Is It comeback concerts.
Criss writes, "Two years ago Michael Jackson died and I had just moved to L.A. Now I'm playing at the O2 in London, his last intended venue. What a trip."
Jackson's relatives also marked the sad day by reaching out to fans, with his singer sister Janet simply writing, "I miss u (sic). I luv u (sic)". Latoya Jackson adds, "I read a lot of your Tweets and a lot of you are so sad, Michael would want you to rejoice his life! Please do so! Rejoice the king's music!"
