Roseanne Barr Actress Roseanne Barr has been given a big boost in her bid to make a TV sitcom comeback - network executives at NBC have picked her new show up for broadcast.

The star's reality show Roseanne's Nuts was axed last month due to low ratings but she now has a reason to celebrate after her latest project, Downwardly Mobile, has found a home on air, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The multi-camera sitcom, which is set in a mobile home community, will be written by Barr's longtime boyfriend Johnny Argent and former Roseanne executive producer Eric Gilliland.

Comedienne Barr won numerous awards for her role on the long-running show Roseanne, which was recently declared one of the 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time by TV Guide.
