The Black Eyed Peas have won a long running legal battle over their hit track Boom Boom Pow.
The band was issued with a lawsuit last year from musician Phoenix Phenom, who alleged the 2009 track used parts of her song Boom Dynamite, which she claims to have submitted to the Black Eyed Peas' Interscope Records label.
Phenom - real name Ebony Latrice Batts - and her associate Manfred Mohr filed suit, accusing the group of copyright infringement, and the case went to court in California last week.
U.S. District Judge John F. Walter ruled in favour of the band and issued a summary judgment on Friday, insisting a jury would struggle to find any "substantial similarity of ideas and expression," according to Allhiphop.com.
