Jane Lynch Not Offended By Brett Ratner's 'Humor'

November 14th, 2011 9:37pm EST

Jane Lynch Gay Glee star Jane Lynch has thrown her support behind embattled moviemaker Brett Ratner after he stepped down as the producer of the Oscars last week following a homophobic slur scandal.

Ratner's resignation came four days after he told movie fans that "Rehearsal's for fags" at a question-and-answer session to promote his new movie Tower Heist.

The remark led to a weekend of outrage among gay rights groups and, after apologizing for his slip-up, the outspoken director decided to walk away from his first Academy Awards.

Host and pal Eddie Murphy stepped down a day later.

Now Lynch has spoken out about the drama, admitting she feels "bad" for Ratner.

She tells Eonline.com, "I wasn't offended. I'm OK. I think humor is such a personal thing and you put a microphone in somebody's face, they're going to say something that offends somebody."
