It's going to be a miserable Thanksgiving holiday for fans of beloved soaps All My Children and One Life To Live - plans to resurrect the long-running TV shows online have been scrapped.
All My Children wrapped up its 41-year run in September and One Life to Live will shut down in January - but fans were hoping both soaps would live on as web series.
However, bosses at Hollywood production company Prospect Park have abandoned plans for an online-only resurrection of the shows, despite signing deals with many leading cast members.
Prospect Park boss Jeff Kwatinetz says, "In the end, the constraints of the current marketplace, including the evolution and impact of new media on our industry simply proved too great a match for even our passion."
