A representative for Scottish actor Gerard Butler has confirmed reports the star has sought help in rehab for substance abuse.
Rumors suggesting the hunk was in treatment circulated early on Friday, but a spokesperson has told People.com the actor has already returned home after completing a rehab stint.
The insider says, "Gerard has completed a successful course of treatment and has returned home in good health. We will not be making any further comment at this time."
The 42 year old reportedly checked himself into the Betty Ford Clinic in California three weeks ago after realizing he was becoming reliant on prescription painkillers he had been taking since injuring himself in a surfing accident on the set of biopic Of Men and Mavericks at the end of last year.
