Fran Drescher Actress Fran Drescher helped a gay couple tie the knot by officiating at their wedding ceremony on Tuesday.

The former The Nanny star presided over the nuptials of the pair, known only as Tom and Russell, at XL Nightclub in New York City.

Drescher took to her page to share snaps of the happy couple and their two kids, writing, "Mazel tov Tom & Russell!"

She added, "Tom & Russell hav (sic) been together for 20 years, that's what I call dedication... What an amazing day! Tom & Russell are incredible! Feel so lucky to have been included in their big day!"

Drescher plans to marry two more gay couples who won her Love is Love contest, which she hosted to highlight the importance of marriage equality.

The topic is especially personal to the TV star - she separated from her husband of 18 years, producer Peter Marc Jacobson, in 1996 after he 'came out' as gay.
