Marc Anthony Files For Divorce, Cites 'Irreconcilable Differences'
Marc Anthony has filed for divorce, ending his broken marriage to Jennifer Lopez. The former couple split last summer and both have moved on with other relationships.
Now Anthony wants to make a clean break, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for divorce.
In the papers, filed on Monday in Los Angeles, and obtained by TMZ.com, Anthony requests joint legal and physical custody of the couple's twins, Emme and Max, four.
The pair wed in 2004. The marriage was Lopez's third and Anthony's second.
Ironically, the documents were filed just two days after an awkward encounter on the former couple's talent show "Q'Viva: The Chosen" aired in America.
Lopez called her ex "a pig" for referring to two sexy dancers on the show as "my honeys." Lopez appeared to laugh off her remark - but unhappy Anthony appeared annoyed as the episode continued.
In an interview with news show "Entertainment Tonight," he insisted the TV drama wasn't quite as it appeared.
He explained, "You have to realize that we filmed for months and so there is a lot of footage and you can cut things all kinds of ways... We have some clever producers... that have a great sense of humor."
