George Clooney's Fundraiser For President Obama Rakes In $15 Million

George Clooney gave President Barack Obama's re-election campaign a huge boost after making $15 million at a fundraiser on Thursday night.
The Oscar-winning hunk invited 150 celebrities and VIPs to the dinner at his Los Angeles mansion in a bid to raise donations to help Obama get into office for a second term when America goes to the polls in November .
Superstars including Barbra Streisand, Robert Downey Jr., Tobey Maguire, Eddie Murphy, Billy Crystal, Salma Hayek and Jack Black were out in force for the event, which cost a $40,000 -a-head.
The dinner raised $6 million while online donations brought in an extra $9 million - making it a record-breaking amount for one single presidential election fundraiser.
Obama made a speech at the dinner, and revealed he was thrilled to have a popular A-list supporter such as Clooney.
He told the famous crowd, "We raised a lot of money because everybody loves George. They like me, they love him. And rightfully so."
