"The X Factor" is starting its second season this fall with two brand new judges: Britney Spears and Demi Lovato. And it appears that "American Idol" is looking for some fresh blood too.
What about Taylor Swift? She released her first album at age 16. Her sophomore album "Fearless" went gold in 2009, and she took home two ACM awards, five American Music Awards, five CMAs, two CMTs, and a an MTV Video Music Award.
At the 52nd Grammy Awards, Swift, now 22, became the youngest artist ever to win the coveted Grammy for Album of the Year.
Who else would be great on "Idol?" See our picks on the following pages...
Justin Timberlake hasn't dropped an album since 2006's "Future Sex/LoveSounds," but the singer/actor is multi-talented.
Seal has licked his wounds after supermodel wife Heidi Klum filed for divorce, and he could use a little good publicity.
P!nk is dropping her new album this fall, just in time to promote it on "American Idol."
It may be a good distraction for Usher after his stepson's accidental death. Plus, he discovered Justin Bieber, so we know he has an eye for talent.
Alice Cooper, known for his crazy stage shows, is actually quite down to earth and
Shakira could add a little Latin flavor to the show.
Harry Connick Jr. could bring some class to the competition.
