Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart "Twilight" sweethearts Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson seemed like a match made in heaven until the actress publicly confessed to having an affair with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders.

Even worse, rumors circulated that Pattinson had been planning to propose before he found out his girlfriend cheated. Now the couple, which has notoriously been private about their relationship, appears to have broken up after dating for three years and starring in five films together.

It's not uncommon for celebrities to find love on set. Sometimes there's a happy ending ("True Blood" stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are expecting twins), sometimes it involves a third party (Brad pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston when he reportedly began an emotional affair with Angelina Jolie on "Mr. & Mrs. Smith") and sometimes it doesn't last very long at all.

Check out our list of stars who hooked up after meeting on set but wound up breaking up...

Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn met on the set of "The Break Up" in 2005. They split in 2006, and gossipers speculated Vaughn had cheated on the actress.

Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson dated after starring in "You, Me, and Dupree" in 2006. They broke up in 2007, shortly before Wilson allegedly tried to take his life.

Drew Barrymore and Justin Long filmed "He's Just Not That Into You" in 2007. They dated briefly, broke up, and hooked up again while filming "Going the Distance." But they couldn't sustain their romance, and later called off their relationship.

Michelle Williams met the late Heath Ledger on 2005 film "Brokeback Mountain," and they had a daughter together. The actress split with the star months before he died from an accidental drug overdose in January 2008.

Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise met in 1989 on the set of "Days of Thunder." They adopted two children before divorcing in 2001.

Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling met on the set of 2004 movie The Notebook and enjoyed a two-year relationship until they split.

Courteney Cox met David Arquette on the set of 1996 film "Scream." The pair split in 2010, but they are still friends and share custody of their daughter Coco.

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens ended their relationship in 2010. The couple met while filming the 2006 hit Disney TV movie "High School Musical."

Julia Roberts and Kiefer Sutherland met in 1990 on the film "Flatliners." Three days before their June 14, 1991, wedding Roberts called off the ceremony, reportedly because Sutherland was seeing a stripper. On what was supposed to be their wedding day, Roberts ran off to Europe with actor Robert Patric.
