New Poster For 'Les Miserables' Pays Homage To The Original Broadway Artwork
September 24th, 2012 10:21pm EDT
The latest poster to promote director Tom Hooper's big screen adaptation of classic Broadway musical Les Miserables was released on Monday, and the artwork bears a striking resemblance to the original art used for the longest-running musical in Broadway history.
The new poster features a young Cosette, played by Isabelle Allen, instead of any of the film's top-billed stars -- Amanda Seyfried (who plays Cosette as an adult), Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway.
Hooper's spectacular vision of Victor Hugo's epic tale also stars Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen; and features all the beloved songs from the play, including "I Dreamed a Dream," "Bring Him Home," "One Day More" and "On My Own".
Les Miserables hits theaters on Christmas Day.
