Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are set to bring girl power to the 2013 Golden Globe Awards after signing up as co-hosts.
The former Saturday Night Live stars, who also worked on movies Mean Girls and Baby Mama together, are teaming up to present the 70th annual prize giving in Los Angeles on January 13th.
In a statement, the executive producers of the awards show write, "It's exciting to have two of the most respected names in comedy. Amy and Tina's well known chemistry along with their spontaneity and glamor makes them a perfect fit for the Golden Globes."
NBC's president of alternative and late night programming Paul Telegdy adds, "Having both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on board to host this year's festivities is a major coup. Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together on SNL to their successful co-starring roles in Baby Mama."
The stars take over from British funnyman Ricky Gervais, who has presented the Golden Globes for the past three years.
