'Cheers' Star George Wendt Hospitalized For Chest Pains

George Wendt George Wendt was hospitalized with chest pains in Chicago, Illinois, on Sunday. The 64-year-old former "Cheers" star is expected to make a full recovery after checking into the hospital.

The actor was forced to pull out of a theater production of "The Odd Couple" due to his health issues.

The play's director B.J. Jones told the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper, "George is family to us and we wish him well for a complete and speedy recovery. He will be missed in the rehearsal room and on stage."

The play is set to open on November 9.
