One Direction Boy-band One Direction recruited Johnny Depp as their sixth member over the weekend after they were invited to visit the Hollywood star and his super-fan daughter.

The actor reached out to the pop group while they were in Los Angeles and asked them to come to his house to meet his daughter Lily-Rose, who is a huge fan of the band.

The young stars were thrilled when they got the chance to see the keen musician's home studio and have a jamming session with him.

A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "Johnny found out One Direction were in town and, after making a few calls, they came round to his studio. He brought out his piano and guitars for the boys to test and they had a little jam session."

"Lily-Rose just watched with her blushing mates while her dad temporarily joined the world's biggest boy-band."

Photos of the boys posing with Depp and his daughter have since appeared online.
