A Muscly Jamie Fox Shows Off His Guns On Cover Of Men's Health Magazine

Jamie Foxx lives up to his name - he is definitely a fox. The singer/actor made the December cover of Men's Health, showing off his muscled arms and fit torso. In fact, he actually did pushups during down time at the cover shoot. "It goes back to when you're a kid looking in the mirror, and you want to be the guy in the magazine," he explained.
He opens up about how he got ready, emotionally and physically, for his role in upcoming film "Django Unchained."
Foxx said about packing on the muscle for the movie: "In the 1800s, there was no Bally Total Fitness. That was a challenge."
In the film, Foxx plays Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles - dead or alive.
The actor says it wasn't a stretch to play Django. He explained, "I watched Bonanza. I watched Hee Haw. I spun guns on my finger. Every kid, if you were in Texas, wanted to be a cowboy, whether you were black, white, Mexican, whatever."
He also had to delve into centuries of American racism for the role. "[A few onscreen fistfights were] "actually a breath of fresh air, to get all that tension out," he said.
