Richard Gere To Receive Palm Springs Film Festival Honor

Richard Gere is the latest actor to join the star-studded line-up of honorees at the upcoming Palm Springs International Film Festival in California.
The Pretty Woman star is to be feted for his role in drama Arbitrage, which has already earned him a Golden Globes nomination, during the event in January.
Gere will be presented with the coveted Chairman's Award, and festival chairman Harold Matzner says, "Throughout his career Richard Gere has established himself as an accomplished actor and producer and yet still finds time to support crucial cultural and humanitarian causes."
Other stars already tapped to receive prizes at the festival's gala on January 5th include Bradley Cooper, Sally Field, Helen Hunt, Helen Mirren and Naomi Watts.
The festival runs from January 3rd- 14th.
