Eva Mendes To Launch Her Own Fashion Line

Actress Eva Mendes is embracing her love of fashion by launching her own clothing line.
The Hitch star is teaming up with retail giant New York & Company to produce her own collection for the brand, and she will also act as an ambassador for the firm and front a major advertising campaign.
The actress' range, to be called Eva by Eva Mendes, will include daywear, evening dresses and accessories, and she insists it will have a vintage feel, telling Wwd.com, "I love anything that winks to yesteryear. You have to find what works for you. In this day and age where everybody has a stylist, I appreciate the kind of woman who steps out of the box. I love feeling like an individual. I want to share all these little tips with women."
Mendes also reveals the project is a huge challenge for her, adding, "I have a ton of ideas, but it's a bit early to discuss them. It's taking up all my time, but in the best way possible. Everything I see is a possible design. My mind is consumed by it."
The collection will appear in pop-up boutiques housed in New York & Company stores across the country
