James Deen Invited To Star In X-Rated Remake Of 'The Canyons'

Adult movie actor James Deen has been asked to make an X-rated version of The Canyons, the mainstream film he starred in with Lindsay Lohan.

Porn sensation Deen landed his first Hollywood job when he was cast alongside Lohan in the erotic thriller, but The Canyons was deemed a flop after it was denied screening slots at a number of film festivals last year.

Deen now has a chance to make The Canyons a success after being approached to direct and star in a saucy reboot.

In a letter to Deen, Vivid Entertainment boss Steve Hirsch writes, "It would be a first in parodies... the actual star of a mainstream movie also starring in an X-Rated version of that same movie! How cool is that?"

According to TMZ.com, Hirsch also reveals he has gathered "a list of hot women" for Deen to consider for his leading lady.
