Lady Gaga Can't Walk, Is 'Devastated & Heartsick' Over Canceled Concerts
A health issue has left Lady Gaga unable to walk, so the pop star has been forced to postpone a series of concerts on her North American tour.
The singer was scheduled to take her "Born This Way Ball" to Chicago, Illinois; Detroit, Michigan; and Hamilton, Ontario this week, but due to a case of synovitis (severe inflammation of joints ) her doctor has ordered her to cancel several shows in order to rest up and recover.
She wrote on Facebook: "There's an unfortunate announcement coming out right now, concerning myself and the Born This Way Ball. Im so sorry. I barely know what to say. I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened. I've been praying it would heal. I hid it from my staff, I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can't. To the fans in Chicago Detroit & Hamilton I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself. Im devastated & sad. It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and Im sorry."
Gaga also posted: "I am completely devastated and heartsick. I've been hiding this injury and pain from my staff for a month, praying it would heal, but after last night's performance I could not walk. To the fans in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, I hope you can forgive me as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself right now. I would do anything for you. I will hopefully heal as soon as possible and be at 500 (percent) again, which is what you deserve."
It's been a tough month for the singer. Her former personal assistant is suing the singer and her tour company, claiming she is owed $380,000 for unpaid overtime during the 2010 "Monster Ball" trek. Jennifer O'Neill also claims she was never given her own hotel room and was forced to sleep in the same bed as Gaga.
