Neil Patrick Harris hosted the 2013 Tony Awards, where Broadway musical Kinky Boots was the big winner after landing several top prizes. The play is based on a 2005 film about a factory worker and his drag queen business partner. It won Best Musical. The show also won for Best Actor, Best Orchestrations, Best Choreography and Best Sound Design. Cyndi Lauper, who wrote the music and lyrics for the show, won the Tony for Best Original Score, making her the first woman ever to garner a solo win in the composing category. (story)

Kim Kardashian may not get her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (they sell-- er, give-- them to reality TV stars), but she did get immortalized by a sculptor who gets attention by creating nude pregnant statues of stars who are pregnant or in the actual birthing process. The new piece is a 'fertility statue' and was created to defend the socialite from the "hurtful words of the media." "I'm stripping [her] of the details people get stuck on, so they can see the beauty," the artist said. (story)
