Shiri got her start in showbiz at the age of four, when she starred in commercials for Cheerios and M&M's. She landed an extra part on soap opera "Santa Barbara" when she was seven years old, followed by numerous small one-off roles in TV movies and TV series such as "thirtysomething", "Dear John", "Baywatch", "Xena: Warrior Princess", "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "The Amanda Show".
In 1999 she landed the role of Liz Parker in "Roswell", who she played for 61 episodes over the show's three season run.
Shiri studied English literature and theatre arts at the University of Southern California.
"Roswell", a science-fiction tale of human-alien hybrids living amongst the population of Roswell, New Mexico, ended in 2002, and since then Shiri has had numerous TV and movie roles, albeit small ones, before seeing more solid, recurring roles in such shows as "ER", "Life Unexpected" and the short-lived "Dating Rules from My Future Self".
Shiri's most recent roles include six episodes on "Chicago Fire" during the 2012-13 season; and as Adam's (Adam Driver) new girlfriend Natalia on HBO's Girls.
In March of 2013, the actress was at the center of a nude photo leak, when a self-shot image of herself stand fully nude in front of a mirror leaked online.
Shiri and boyfriend Jon Shook, a chef, were engaged while on vacatoin in Ventotene, Italy in July of 2012. The actress announced that she was pregnant in December, and gave birth to a daughter, Natalie, on March 23, 2013.
