In "The Giver," Jonas (Brenton Thwaites) is a teenage boy who lives in a seemingly ideal world of conformity where everything is literally black and white.

Then he meets The Giver (Jeff Bridges), who is the sole keeper of all the community's memories, and Jonas learns the dark truth about the community's past.

With his newfound knowledge, Jonas discovers that not is all that it seems, and lives hang in the balance -- including those whom he loves.

It's a big weekend for "Hunger Games" fans- after a year of waiting, the final "Hunger Games" film has made it to theaters. And it will make it to theaters again, next year, because paying twice to see two halves of the same movie is the new "it" thing.

But no matter- the first of the last "Hunger Games" films (what?) is here. And given the stampedes that saw "The Hunger Games" and "Catching Fire," it's a safe bet that every theater in the country is about to be stuffed full of frenzied moviegoers (now's as good a time as any to invest in fake butter and Sno-Caps).

Thai Cinemas Pull 'Hunger Games' After Protestors Adopt Film's T
Several theaters in Thailand have banned "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" after protestors started using the film's three-fingered salute as an anti-authority symbol.

The pro-democracy activists are protesting the government that was put into power following a military coup in May.

Protesters had planned a mass demonstration outside a cinema in Bangkok to mark the opening of the new film on Thursday. In response, one of the country's leading cinema chains has reportedly cancelled all screenings of "Mockingjay."

Oscar Winning Director Mike Nichols Dead At 83
Legendary director Mike Nichols has died at the age of 83, The husband of ABC News anchor Diane Sawyer passed Wednesday evening after suffering cardiac arrest.

Nichols was a legendary director who helmed feature films such as 1967's "The Graduate" (for which he won an Oscar for Best Director), "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf (1966), "Silkwood" (1983) and "Working Girl" (1988).

A Golden Globe winner and multiple Emmy winner, Nichols was also nominated for his work in series TV. He executive produced the 1977 series "Family" and also the television films "Wit" and "Angels in America.".

Angelina Jolie is serious about focusing on directing films rather than acting. Earlier this year she told fans she was considering retirement in order to be behind the camera.

In the new issue of Du Jour magazine the confessed she never felt truly "comfortable" acting and when asked if she would give it up completely, she answered, "Absolutely."
