Native Hawaiians Slam Cameron Crowe's 'Aloha' For Insulting Thei
The Media Action Network for Asian Americans (MANAA) is very unhappy with Cameron Crowe's new film "Aloha" for not including enough Asian-Pacific Islanders in the project.

MANAA representative Guy Aoki told the New York Post in a press release, "Caucasians only make up 30 percent of the population (of Hawaii), but from watching this film, you'd think they made up 99 percent.

"This comes in a long line of films - The Descendants, 50 First Dates, Blue Crush, Pearl Harbor - that uses Hawaii for its exotic backdrop but goes out of its way to exclude the very people who live there. It's an ins...

Forgotten Friday Flick - Do You Remember 'Runaway Train' From 1985

May 22nd, 2015 12:15pm EDT
Forgotten Friday Flick - 1985 Action / Drama 'Runaway Train'
Since character actor Eric Roberts was so humble as to grace the latest horror outing "The Human Centipede III (Final Sequence)" with his fine performance presence, it felt right to rehash the very best of Roberts via his powerful past work – welcome to Forgotten Friday Flick! Amidst some very intense early films (see "Star 80!") and fabulous collaborations (see him with Mickey Rourke in "The Pope of Greenwich Village!"), this week’s choice is by far Robert’s finest hour. It’s a harrowing drama that shows what happens when human conflict and mechanical difficulties collide. There’s simpl...

May 22nd, 2015 12:05pm EDT
Maggie Gyllenhaal
Maggie Gyllenhaal has been hit by ageism in Hollywood already, and she's only 37-years-old.

The actress was left reeling after a casting director recently informed her that she didn't land the role playing the love interest of a 55-year-old man in an upcoming film because she's "too old."

Though Gyllenhaal was initially stunned by the turn-down, she doesn't hold a grudge and believes that something better will come along.

"There are things that are really disappointing about being an actress in Hollywood that surprise me all the time," she tells TheWrap.com. "It was astonishing to me. It...

'The Human Centipede III (Final Sequence)' Has Arrived!

Review: 'The Human Centipede III (Final Sequence)' A Wicked Walk
I’ll admit it’s hard to claim an outright affinity for the movies within the Human Centipede universe. Widely ridiculed and shunned for what most perceive as a vile concept, there’s a stigma attached to Tom Six’s very original work that naturally gives film fans pause. But the one thing that I always appreciated and saw as character commendable was the insane inspired turn by actor Dieter Laser as the demented Dr. Heiter. With his gaunt expressive face and guttural German delivery, Laser’s misguided man of medicine was the epitome of dirty tongue-in-cheek fright fun and made the twisted ...

The actor and co-star Margot Robbie, who plays Dr. Harleen Quinzell and later becomes villainess and the Joker's love interest Harley Quinn, were spotted shooting a scene in which Mr. J (as Quinn called him in the popular "Batman: Arkham Asylum" video game) confronts Quinzell, who is apparently at the point of falling for him -- in more ways than one.

The Joker arrives on the scene in his pink hotrod -- with the license plate "HAHAHA" -- and s...
