'Under the Dome,' Season 2 Episode 8 Recap: Barbie The Scientist, Big Jim the Conspiracy Nut

'Under the Dome,' Season 2 Episode 8 Recap: Barbie The Scientist
Last week, "Under the Dome" defied all logic and normal convention by putting out an episode that was actually... dare we speak it out loud... good.

Well, "good" under "Under the Dome" terms, which means it was so unabashedly ridiculous that it soared above all other "Under the Domes" this season. And solely for one reason- it grabbed a handful of characters, threw them outside the Dome's confines, and commanded them to scatter about the real world.

We're continuing in the same vein with "Awakening," which finds Barbie very much wanting to return to the Dome's comforting confines (also, ...

6 Things We Wish Had Happened On TV

6 Things We Wish Had Happened On TV
As the Rolling Stones once sang, you can't always get what you want. And so it is for TV as well. For a variety of reasons - network decisions, production demands, behind the scenes developments - sometimes what happens or doesn't happen isn't what we would've wanted. Even though that might have been a good thing, even if we completely understand why, we can't help but wonder 'what if.'

This TV season has had quite a few of those moments, whether it's plot twists that broke our hearts, cancellations we wish we could reverse, or just things we would have enjoyed seeing even if they had no r...

On Sunday's episode, fans witnessed Skittles determining the fate of three players on Big Brother 2014. Skittles Gate might finally shift the power this week.

Team America Betrayal and Mission

Frankie Grande and Derrick Levasseur barely celebrate their win before the alliance formerly known as the Bomb Squad discuss this week's nominations. They want Donny Thompson out this week. They also decide to gi...

Summer TV 2014's Top Villains!
You can’t have a good TV show without a villain. Even if it’s a reality show about making widgets, there’s got to be an evil widget in the mix making trouble for the rest of em’. With Summer 2014’s television season just about to set, we thought it would be fun to talk a look back and see which television evil-doers positively sizzled!

In no particular order (here there be spoilers!) …

Thomas Eichorst - The Strain (FX)

If you've been watching FX’s schlocky end-of-the-world vampire drama The Strain you've probably enjoyed Richard Sammel's chilly portrayal of the head vamp’s slithery ass...

'Big Brother' 16 Episode 23 Recap: One Less Problem For The Deto
This week on Big Brother 2014, former besties Zach Rance and Frankie Grande had a major fallout. Meanwhile, Christine Brecht betrayed her former best friend Nicole Franzel. This led to a surprise Veto decision. Zach won the Power of Veto and removed himself from the block. Therefore, Christine was forced to nominate a replacement. After some slight persuasion, she nominated Nicole, which pitted her against her close friend Donny Thompson. Nicole's fate seemed sealed on Big Brother 16.

A Knife to the Back

'Extant' Season 1 Episode 6 recap: 'Nightmares'
Ethan begins having nightmares. Molly discovers she was used as bait on the Seraphim.

Given the number of heart-palpitating scenes showcased in “Extant’s” sixth episode “Nightmares,” it’s no wonder we all don’t wake up in a cold sweat come Thursday morning. No doubt Molly wishes the discovery of Sparks’ daughter being the first test subject, or casualty, for the Seraphim mission prior to her stepping on the shuttle is another hallucination. Or, in keeping with the theme: nightmare.

Sorry, the only person having an actual nightmare is Ethan. And he’s not built for them. Even so, he interru...

'Under the Dome' Season 2 Episode 7 Recap: Barbie Leaves the Dome Behind

Under the Dome
If you were shown any old episode of "Under the Dome," it's probably safe to say you wouldn't associate the lunatic antics of Big Jim, Barbie and a bunch of glowing pink teenagers as the work of Stephen King. Rogue butterfly attacks aren't really King's thing (ok, maybe they're totally King's thing, but he'd find a clever twist to make them halfway scary).

That's why "Going Home" is such a shocking episode of "Under the Dome." It's actually... good. Solidly written, competently acted. Good. And not "Under the Dome's" usual bahahahaha this is terrific type of good.

For one, the episode's m...

'Big Brother' 2014 Episode 21 Recap: Nicole Blows Up Frankie's G
One of the most dramatic episodes of Big Brother 2014 happened last night. After the plan to evict Zach Rance failed, the house turned on Nicole Franzel and Hayden Voss. Hayden left the house, but he threw Frankie Grande and Christine Brecht under the bus. This turned the entire Big Brother 16 house against the duo. At the end of the day, one of them became Head of Household, while the other fought in one of the most dramatic Battles of the Block ever.

Life Under-the-Bus

Nicole continues to tell the Big Brother 16 houseguests that Frank and Christine orchestrated the plan to evict Zach....
