"It's a bird, it's a plane, it's "Glee" star Melissa Benoist as "Supergirl."

Benoist has been cast to take on lead role of Superman's cousin, Kara Zor-El, in CBS's new "Supergirl" television TV series.

The CBS series starring Benoist will follow Superman's cousin from Krypton, Kara Zor-El, also known as Kara Danvers. After escaping Krypton, Kara has been hiding her powers. She later chooses to embrace her abilities and be the hero she was destined to be.

Charlie Sheen To Appear On 'Two And A Half Men' Series Finale?
Ashton Kutcher has sparked rumors that Charlie Sheen will be making an appearance on the series finale of "Two and a Half Men."

During an interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Friday, Kutcher said he read the script for the final episode, and the daytime talk show host asked if Sheen would be coming back.

First he shrugged and then explained: "Here's the thing. If you're working on the Warner Bros. lot, if there's sirens, come save me," Kutcher warned.

"So Charlie comes back," DeGeneres pressed.
