TBS Celebrating 20th 'Friends' Anniversary With Mini-Marathon
Could this be more perfect? As a way to celebrate the 20th premiere anniversary of “Friends,” TBS is throwing a 20-episode marathon.

This coming Monday marks two decades since we first met our favorite Central Perk gang. With that said, TBS will air 10 hours of 20 fan-chosen episodes on Monday, Sept. 22 beginning at 10 a.m. and finishing up by 8 p.m.

“We're thrilled to be celebrating ‘Friends’ 20th anniversary by giving fans the chance to choose their favorite episodes for TBS's 20-episode marathon,” said Phil Oppenheim, senior vice president of programming and scheduling for TBS and TNT....

Bryan Cranston Brings Drama To The Baseball Postseason In Hilarious Short For TBS

September 17th, 2014 9:22pm EDT
Bryan Cranston
Baseball fan Bryan Cranston has done a new commercial for TBS' airing of the Major League Baseball playoffs this fall, in which he does a one-man stage show in order to "dramatize the entire MLB postseason."

Cranston dons the uniforms of several MLB teams, finding his inspiration from a classic Bugs Bunny cartoon in the video, which premiered on website Bleacher Report.com on Tuesday.

"The Bugster. Mister B. Any actor who tells you that he's NOT inspired by Bugs Bunny is a liar, frankly," he says. "Or just a hack."

The "Breaking Bad star then acts out several great moments from classic p...

Conan O'Brien Visibly Stunned As He Breaks News Of Robin William
Conan O'Brien ended his show on Monday night by sharing the news of actor Robin Williams' passing with his studio audience, co-host Andy Richter and guest Will Arnett.

The host learned the news during the taping of the show, which is done hours before it airs, and was visibly shocked by the sad news, feeling obligated to make the announcement to the crowd.

"This is unusual and upsetting," the host began, "but we got some news... during the show that Robin Williams... that Robin Williams has passed away...

"We tape these shows a few hours early," the host added, "and by the time you see t...

Don’t Move To New York City Based Solely On What You See On TV: A User’s Guide

July 28th, 2014 2:00pm EDT
Don’t Move To New York City Based Solely On What You See On TV:
As a born and bred New Yorker, I’m drawn to shows about my city, taking comfort in the familiar sights and settings; yet I often find myself asking, “Did the writers of some of these shows ever step foot in Manhattan?”

I can shake off the inconsistencies, but I sometimes wonder about all the people saving their babysitting and paper route money hoping to someday move to the Big Apple hoping to mirror the glamorous life seen on the small screen.

Hence, a guide to separating fact from fiction:

‘Smash’ only lasted two seasons, but it was long enough to get your hopes up that moving here wo...

Jodi Long On 'Sullivan & Son' Season 3: 'The Show's Only Gotten Better'

July 1st, 2014 12:09pm EDT
Jodi Long On 'Sullivan & Son' Season 3: 'The Show's Only Gotten
TV's funniest mother is back for another season. There's nobody quite like the outspoken Ok Cha Sullivan on TBS's sitcom Sullivan & Son, and veteran actress Jodi Long knows how to deliver all of Ok Cha's punchlines and pointed looks for maximum hilarity.

We recently had the opportunity to catch up with Jodi for some chat about the third season of Sullivan & Son and what she thinks of her fellow bar regulars (hint: she likes them a lot more than Ok Cha does!)

Flying under the radar in a Tuesday late-night time slot, Sullivan & Son has nonetheless garnered a loyal fan base, but that doesn't...

Steve Byrne Talks Season 3 Of 'Sullivan & Son': 'Everything Just Clicked'

June 24th, 2014 12:05pm EDT
Sullivan & Son
It's time for Steve Sullivan to get back behind the bar, which means it's time for us to have another chat with Steve Byrne. The star of TBS's Sullivan & Son - the little bar comedy that could - joined us recently to talk about the upcoming third season of the show and hanging out with the guys from TruTV's Impractical Jokers.

"The first two seasons you're experimenting, you're trying things out, you're making mistakes, you're finding successes," he told us. "We've found what dynamics between characters work, and we're going with our strengths into this season.

"We've always teased the St...

Curtis Armstrong On Finding 'King Of The Nerds' And 'Dan Vs.'

February 20th, 2014 2:15pm EST
King of the Nerds
They don't make nerds cooler than Curtis Armstrong. The actor - pictured above between his co-host Robert Carradine and a dodgeball-playing robot - is host of TBS's King of the Nerds. He also happens to be the voice of one of the best animated characters ever, Dan from The Hub's Dan Vs. BFTV spoke with Curtis last week about season two of King of the Nerds, and if Dan Vs. is really over.

Between season one and season two is when many shows are refined and tweaked, so were things changed up between cycles of King of the Nerds? "A lot, yeah," Curtis told us. "Our producing partners, 5x5 Medi...

5 TV Actors We're Thankful For In 2013

November 28th, 2013 11:00am EST
Josh Charles, The Good Wife
Thanksgiving is upon us and it's time for us to give our thanks - for the acting performances that make doing what we do worthwhile.

There are so many talented actors and actresses out there that we don't possibly have the space to recognize them all, but here are the five gentlemen who made us thankful that we were around to write about them over the past year, in alphabetical order.

1) Josh Charles, The Good Wife (CBS)

There's nothing sweeter to those of us watching an actor we love swing for the fences, and that's exactly what's been happening with Josh Charles this TV season. America...

Mom
So far, the 2013-13 television season has delivered far more home-runs than strike-outs.  Now that shows are doling out their juiciest storylines for November sweeps, it's time to hand out grades for the freshman television shows.

"Mom" CBS, Mondays at 9:30pm EST
Anna Faris and Allison Janney are a mother-daughter duo battling their demons in this delightfully dysfunctional comedy from the sitcom king, Chuck Lorre.  The two are also a heartbreakingly hilarious combo that turn their struggle to sobriety into a blazingly entertaining and realistic journey.  In the most timely and relatabl...

Christine Ebersole Adds To The Laughs On 'Sullivan & Son'

August 22nd, 2013 2:10pm EDT
Sullivan and Son
As Carol Walsh on TBS's Sullivan & Son, Christine Ebersole has kept us laughing with well-meaning but perhaps ill-advised antics. Yet underneath Carol's fearless exuberance is a two-time Tony Award winner with decades of talent. BFTV snagged a few minutes with Christine on Thursday to chat about how she finds the laughter - and what it's like when she gets serious.

"I just basically sort of approach it as, she's a fun-loving, kind of free spirit who is very kind of innocent in a way," she said of Carol, the bar regular who's never short of a smile or a flirtatious comment. "[She's] not jad...
