'Arrow': 10 Heart-Stopping Moments From 'The Climb'

'Arrow' Recap: 10 Heart-Stopping Moments From 'The Climb'
Oh, mid-season finale cliffhangers. How cruel you are.

But few are as cruel as "Arrow"- because we can't even call "The Climb's" ending a "cliffhanger." That implies Oliver still had the hand strength to hang off a cliff edge, and at the end of this hour he was way too stabbed-to-death to handle that.

Really, this is more of a cliff-flopper. Cliff-dier, maybe.

But it was a pretty intense way to end a year of "Arrow," so let's not overthink the semantics. Instead, let's get down to the last "Arrow" countdown of 2014.

10. The League of Assassins Goes Kill-Crazy!

Ra's al Ghul is not a pat...

'Supernatural' Winter Finale Review: Three Stooges

December 10th, 2014 11:24am EST
Supernatural
Dog strollers. Lip injections. Winter finales. What do these three things have in common? They are hideous inventions that make me worry about the future of our society. As a TV blogger, I encounter the last two more often than I care to admit. “Supernatural’s” winter finale entitled “The Things We Left Behind” was cluttered with the drama of secondary characters which left little room to focus on Sam and Dean’s predicament with that pesky Mark of Cain.

It is a cute parallel that Dean was giggling at old episodes of “The Three Stooges” bungling through tasks and hurting othres in the...

'The Flash': Christmas With The Reverse-Flash

'The Flash' Recap: Christmas With The Reverse-Flash
"The Man in the Yellow Suit" gave us everything we could ever want in "The Flash's" mid-season finale. Namely, a man in a yellow suit.

The Reverse-Flash has had almost zero screen time this season (up until last night, that is), only talked about in whispers or blurs of yellow that no one's really capable enough to describe. And now he's here, in the flesh and taunting Barry outright.

Though he spent a fair chunk of time onscreen, the mustard-colored speedster only popped off lines like “Your destiny is to lose to me, just as your mother's destiny was to die that night." Or, "if you want...

'Arrow': 10 Flashtastic Moments From 'The Brave And The Bold'

'Arrow' Recap: 10 Flashtastic Moments From 'The Brave And The Bo
Oh, if only every week could be "Flash vs. Arrow" crossover week (although given the CW's potential plans to integrate "Supergirl" into the Arrowverse, we're looking at a very real future where there is an "Arrow"-brand series on every night of the week).

But that's a long way away, and also probably not real. For now, we've got "The Brave and the Bold," where Barry, Cisco and Caitlin (no Dr. Wells, sadly- too evil) head to Starling City to assist Team Arrow with a criminal of their own.

And, like "The Flash's" time in the crossover sun, it's a CW superhero fan's beautiful dream. Let's be...

'Supernatural Recap: The Heat Is On

December 3rd, 2014 12:07pm EST
Supernatural Season 10 Episode 8
One of my few complaints about "Supernatural" has always been its lack of diversity. When the main characters are all white guys, something has got to give. Tuesday's "Hibbing 911" offered a double-shot of the girlpower and poked a bit of a fun at the now classic buddy-cop movie, "The Heat."

Grab your favorite flavor of lollipop, and let's dive in, shall we?

Old Characters, New Fun | Fan-favorite Sheriff Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes) returns to once again audition for the next attempt at a "Supernatural" spin-off. She's quite literally towing baggage she can barely carry to the Minnesota-...

'The Flash' And 'Arrow' Swap Punches, Superhero Wisdom

'Flash vs. Arrow' Recap: The Flash And Arrow Swap Punches, Super
In theory, "Arrow" and "The Flash" should be the perfect pairing. One's relentlessly dark and grim, the other's a cheery comic book come to life. Also, the CW's been hyping this thing like no tomorrow. Does "Flash vs. Arrow" live up to the hype?

Good heavens, yes.

As per usual with "The Flash," there's a metahuman loose in Central City. This time, it's Roy G. Bivolo. Oliver Queen might not be a fan of giving menacing villains kooky names, but in this case, it's kind of necessary. Because Roy G. Bivolo. So instead, let's call him Chroma.

Chroma's running amok, using his glowing red eyes t...

Meet The Actress Behind 'Supernatural's' Rowena

Ruth Connell: Meet The Actress Behind 'Supernatural's' Rowena
The holiday season is all about family, and that includes on Supernatural. Viewers were recently introduced to the devious witch Rowena, who - in addition to causing trouble for the Winchester brothers - was revealed to be the mother of one of fans' favorite characters. Naturally, this requires some discussion!

Last week, we sat down with the lovely Ruth Connell, who is unsurprisingly nothing like her diabolical alter-ego, to talk about Rowena's revelation and what it's been like for her to land a pivotal role on a series as wildly popular as Supernatural.

SPOILER ALERT - If you're not ca...

'The Flash' Review: Flash No More?

November 26th, 2014 7:38am EST
The Flash
"Power Outage" could have lived and died as an entirely forgettable outing for the Scarlet Speedster. Oh look, another metahuman, bent on wreaking some kind of particle-accelerator-adjacent havoc? Big whoop. That happens every week.

But "Power Outage" will live on- because it's not just one standalone "Flash" episode. It's three episodes, gleefully mushed together into a tangle of crazy that was kind of incredible.

Barry, you see, has gotten cocky. He's using his powers in broad daylight, in front of crowds of people, stopping muggers willy-nilly and crossing boundaries man was not meant ...

Who Are TV's Sexiest Men?

November 21st, 2014 1:00pm EST
Matt Bomer
People magazine rightfully declared Aussie-born actor Chris Hemsworth as "The Sexiest Man Alive." The actor, who has impressive bulked up for roles in "Marvel's The Avengers" and Thor 2: The Dark World, has definitely earned the title. But this blogger, who loves all things television, couldn't help but wonder: who television's sexiest men alive? Here are my top 10 picks in no particular order.

White Collar's Matt Bomer
While "White Collar" may be shuffling off to that great TV vault in the sky, star Matt Bomer's career is just beginning its stratospheric rise, thanks in part to his...

They could write a book on Kai's complicated family history on The Vampire Diaries. We learned about Kai's ruthless quest for power.
