‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Recap: It’s All About Brandi

November 26th, 2014 8:52am EST
If I’d known that there was going to be so much focus on the unpoised, tacky and desperate Brandi Glanville, I wouldn’t have watched.

I have to say, I was excited about this season. Not only was the cast infused with new blood (Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson, who we have still yet to meet), but I love watching what all their money can buy. Unlike the other housewife franchises, where the women who are indeed comfortable and live well but are a far cry from the super rich socialites they claim to be, the ladies of BH have got stacks and seeing them spend it is as mesmerizing as watching a m...

'Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills' Season 5 Premiere

November 19th, 2014 10:20am EST
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
White out!

It's the calm before the storm in the fifth season opener that has Kyle's yearly White Party serving as a metaphor for wiping the slate clean.

Intercut with Kyle making the final arrangements for her soiree that has grown into one of Beverly Hills' most sought-after invites, we see the ladies come back together, and get introduced to one of the newbies, Lisa Rinna, who I predict will run rough shot over the lot of them and take over as head housewife of BH. (The other new cast member, Eileen Davidson, has not appeared yet, probably because she or Bravo want her to have her own ...

'RHONJ' Reunion Part 3: Good-bye Teresa Giudice

November 12th, 2014 9:19am EST
This is the last time I'll be writing a recap for the Jersey housewives. I feel like I've been let out of prison.

And just as I am getting out, Teresa Giudice readies herself to go in.

As with the first two parts of the reunion, Andy focused on Teresa G. and her personal issues, but first he let the Jersey boys have a free-for-all and embarrass themselves with name-calling, accusations, and unmatched bravado. They proved that you don't have to be a housewife to make a fool of yourself as well as flaunt your ignoranance or show off how low class you are.

There was a lot of ganging up on J...

'RHONJ' Reunion Part 2: Let The Name Calling Begin

November 7th, 2014 8:50am EST
Scumbag. Skeletor. Fame Whore. Oh my.

No it's not the school yard, it's the gathering of the Garden Staters who are in evening gowns; the men are in suits; and everyone is over the age of 40.

"I came on for fun and now look at me," said Teresa Guidice, who Andy once again honed in on right away. Her face has grown considerably more sad sack as the reunion has progressed, so the Bravo puppetmaster thought it was the perfect time to remind her -- via table-flipping era footage -- of her shallow, screaming banshee, "I live in a five million dollar houses," days.

They segued into her fathe...

'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' Season 6 Reunion Part 1: Everybody Cries (Almost)

November 3rd, 2014 10:04am EST
'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' Season 6 Reunion Part 1: Eve
The Garden State ladies got back together, but it looked like a flashback to 1976 or perhaps a Studio 54 reunion.

Teresa G., Melissa, Amber, Dina, Nicole and Theresa A. showed up in what appeared to be their most sparkly, disco evening gown finest for this rather subdued first entry in what may play out to be a very explosive reunion series.

For this installment, crying was the emotion of choice, except for Nicole and Theresa A., but we’ll get to them later.

Kleenex missed out on quite the product placement deal because right off the bat Andy honed in -- for obvious reasons -- on Teres...

'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' Season 6 Finale Recap:

October 20th, 2014 10:19am EDT
"It's a different day and everything's changed." Cousin Kathy's words refer to The Guidices' sentencing, but can easily describe the whole lot of them.

Although Dina's Ladybug Charity is the main focus of the episode, everyone's life goes through some sort of transformation: Melissa and Joe Gorga break ground for their next McMansion, which is going to be even bigger and more garish then their present abode; and Amber cut her hair for cancer. She's been growing it for five years, and now will donate the locks to make a wig for a child.

The one thing that hasn't changed is that Teresa Apre...

‘RHONJ’ Season 6 Episode 13 Recap: 'Sorry, Not Sorry'

October 13th, 2014 9:10am EDT
This week’s title implies that, as Elton John sang, sorry seems to be the hardest word…or maybe it just refers to what a sorry bunch they all are.

Now that everyone has returned from Florida, the whole group is back on the party circuit: Rino and Teresa are having a “tasting” to introduce the menu of their new restaurant, and Dina’s charity event Project Ladybug is coming up.

Jacqueline and Chris go over to Kathy and Rich's house where they and Rosie are making cannolis, which were requested by Teresa Aprea for her party. Nicole shows up to pick up the pastries for her sister and ends up ...

Rumor Patrol: George Clooney Runs Out On Honeymoon, Nick Cannon Leaking Stories About Marriage To Mariah And More!

Rumor Patrol: George Clooney Runs Out On Honeymoon, Nick Cannon
You can't go one week without hearing a ridiculous story involving some of your favorite celebrities. Thankfully, the Starpulse Rumor Patrol is here to sort out what's real and what's fake.

Trouble In Paradise? George Clooney Runs Out On Honeymoon: Instead of spending time with beautiful new wife Amal Alamuddin, George Clooney hightailed it out of their romantic English getaway to New York City to meet up with some friends.

Verdict: True, Kind Of: Clooney did go to New York City, but for work. Clooney surprised fans attending the annual ComicCon convention with an appearance to promote ...

'RHONJ' Season 6 Episode 12 Recap: 'Pack Your Bags And Get Out!'

October 6th, 2014 9:06am EDT
There’s bag packing all around with the Guidices heading off to prison, Jacqueline and her husband Chris moving out of their house, and Amber and Jim thrown out of Boca.

Now that it’s been reported that Teresa will serve a 15-month sentence for fraud, and when she’s out, Joe will serve 41-months, watching their storyline is a bit anti-climactic. On the show, they're still at the stage where they don't know what's to come. Since we do though, there’s no tension.

This week, Joe announces he’s taking Teresa out for a date night – really a date weekend – in New York City, leaving the kids wit...

'The Singles Project' Season 1 Finale: What We've Learned From The Daters

'The Singles Project' Season 1 Finale: What We've Learned From T
I won’t front: I really liked this show. It put the "real" back in reality TV for me, as I think it captured so many of the scenarios that those on the hunt for “the one” deal with day to day. I also appreciated that the cast of very nice people got friendly, and we were spared the usual table turning, back biting, screaming matches among the stars. Even when two of the cast members had a situation where the same man showed interest in both of them, there was no predicable you-stole-my-man “cat fight”; the one who felt spurned kept the focus on the man for being a rather flighty player.

I ...
