6 Great Canceled TV Shows That Came Back From the Grave
Ted Sarandos, chief content officer over at Netflix was quoted last month as saying that another season of Arrested Development on the streaming service was a question of "when" at this point. That's not surprising considering Arrested Development was essentially the first major show to film exclusively for the network after the company opted to bring it back from the dead after its three year network TV run came to an end.

While the Netflix angle is what made AD's rise from the grave so notable, it's not the first show to get re-greenlit after getting canceled. Here are six other great TV...

October 17th, 2013 12:03pm EDT
Matt Stone and Trey Parker South Park power outage
Trey Parker and Matt Stone are accustomed to finishing South Park at the last minute, but they have never missed a deadline until a power outage struck their studios Tuesday and forced them to delay an episode for the first time in 13 years.

As it has been documented several times, including the special "South Park: 6 Days to Air," series creators Parker and Stone generally come up with the idea for a show, animate and voice it, then send it to Comedy Central all within six days.

A power outage Tuesday put an end to their race against the deadline, keeping their computers down for several...

Jon Stewart Returns To 'The Daily Show' After 12-Week Hiatus

September 4th, 2013 8:53am EDT
Jon Stewart
After taking the summer off, Jon Stewart returned to his "Daily Show" duties on Tuesday night. The comedian took a 12-week sabbatical in Jordan to work on the documentary "Rosewater" about Middle Eastern politics. His seat was filled by British comic John Oliver in his absence.

Stewart jokingly told the audience that he missed them: "You don't know what it's like out there in the real world. Nobody applauds every stupid little thing you do."

The late-night host showed up with a large beard and tan, and staff tried to Americanize him with a McDonald's Big Mac defribilator. Stephen Colbert ...

James Franco Undergoes Roasting From His Hollywood Friends

August 26th, 2013 3:30pm EDT
James Franco
On Sunday night, Seth Rogen, Bill Hader and Jonah Hill led the vulgar tributes to their friend James Franco as the actor was 'roasted' in California.

The 35 year-old actor was the butt of all jokes at the Comedy Central Roast as his cronies mocked his film flops, his sexuality and his much-maligned co-hosting performance with Anne Hathaway at the 2011 Oscars.

Rogen, who served as master of ceremonies, held nothing back as he picked on his Pineapple Express co-star, quipping, "He once told me he worked for 36 hours straight, which I didn't believe. The straight part, of course."

April 22nd, 2013 6:07pm EDT
Futurama
Comedy Central has revealed that the upcoming season of the Emmy-winning animated comedy Futurama will be its last.

Thirteen episodes will make up the season, which begins on June 19 with back-to-back episodes. Creator and producer Matt Groening of Simpsons fame said in a statement, "I'm very proud of the upcoming season. If this is indeed the end of ‘Futurama,’ it's a fantastic finish to a good, long run."

"If" is a key term, considering the resurrections of Futurama. Originally canceled by FOX in 2003, the series was brought back in direct-to-video movie form, and then once again in epi...

A Few Minutes With... Nathan Fielder On 'Nathan For You'

March 7th, 2013 1:10pm EST
Nathan For You
On Comedy Central's new original series Nathan For You, Nathan Fielder is armed with a business degree and good intentions as he sets out to help small businesses with some rather unique marketing ideas. The network's press releases describes Nathan as "sweet, smart but occasionally misguided" - but how off the wall is he really? BFTV recently chatted with Nathan about some of his different ideas and the time he worked with Archer star H. Jon Benjamin.

"I don't really think I'm funny," he confided. "I seem to get into situations that make people laugh, but I don't consider myself that funn...

A Few Minutes With... Ben Hoffman On 'The Ben Show With Ben Hoffman'

February 28th, 2013 10:45am EST
Ben Hoffman
"I've never seen a show with this much ridiculous stuff mixed with this much realness," said comedian Ben Hoffman, speaking to BFTV Wednesday about his new Comedy Central series, appropriately titled The Ben Show with Ben Hoffman. "What you're seeing on the show is my real therapist, real dad, a girl that I dated. It's the most real show you've ever seen mixed with the most absurd show you've ever seen."

That's what distinguishes The Ben Show from other sketch-comedy programs: in between its hilarious segments, such as a rapper bringing "musical flair" to obituaries, audiences get a glimps...
