The Weeknd in Concert on NBC's
Ah, it’s the final release week in August, and it’s top-heavy – very top heavy. No, there’s no one-two punch with Luke Bryan or Dr. Dre this time around, but there is one Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd, who has been racking up the hits in 2015. Face it – doesn’t everybody know The Weeknd is the favorite this week? C’mon! Still, there are six others joining him for your purchasing consideration!

1) The Weeknd, Beauty Behind The Madness (Republic)

Recently, it seems R&B has regained a bit of its footing. After a slow start in 2015, Tyrese and Jill Scott proved that the cooli...

10 'All Time Low' Songs In Musician’s Careers
“I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!” Yep, that’s the sentiment of these songs that mark the ‘all time lows’ – the bottom of artist’s career as far as the objectionable, horrific song. No, it doesn’t mean that the album wasn’t successful (though in some instances, that’s the case), but these songs could be described as detritus (fun word) aka GARBAGE! Why couldn’t these musicians have avoided such a mess? Here are 10 head shakable moments for your listening pleasure worth scrutinizing.

1) Chris Brown, “Don’t Judge Me” (Fortune, 2012)

10 Summery Songs To Help With The Worst Of Winter
Winter has finally arrived in most of North America, and with it comes miserable cold, gray skies, and a lingering sense of depression that are enough to drag anyone down. Luckily, here are ten of the best "summery" songs from last year to help deal with the season.

10. "Deep End" Coucheron featuring Mayer Hawthorne

If there ever was a perfect soundtrack to swimming in a pool overlooking the L.A. skyline on a hot Summer day, this would be it. The track combines smooth R&B inspired keyboard parts with a relaxed tempo and a bridge sung by Mayer Hawthorne that is simply stunning in a manner ...

Alternative Music Spotlight - St. Lucia

Alternative Music Spotlight - St. Lucia
While there is certainly no shortage of 80's inspired synth pop bands out there at the moment, few are as brilliant and purely enjoyable as St. Lucia, the stage name and band of South African pop wizard Jean-Philip Grobler.

The band's masterful self-titled record is filled with tracks that pay tribute to Grobler's Afro-pop heritage, and brings to mind 80's afro influenced pop records by greats like Paul Simon, Peter Gabriel, and Sting.

Every chorus is massive, and tracks such as "The Way You Remember Me" and "Closer Than This" are sublime, filled with pulsing drums, huge harmonized choru...

You Know The Voice, Now Meet The Man; Matthew Koma

Matthew Koma
The distinctive vocal of Matthew Koma permeates the Electronic Dance Music (EDM) universe as effortlessly as a needle pierces through cloth. His collaborations with major hitmakers such as Zedd (with which he co-wrote the hit "Clarity" and "Find You", which can be found on the "Divergent" soundtrack), Afrojack, Hardwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso and Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic have earned him a spot as one of most influential musicians of his generation. I recently had the chance to chat with Koma in-between two of the biggest music festivals of Spring, 2014; SXSW and Ultra, and discovered...

Khaled Dajani
"Be prepared for something very musical and something very intense," is Khaled Dajani's advice to listeners who discover Luci, the new album in which he brings world music to a mainstream audience. It's a major undertaking, not only in uniting the diversity and rich musical history of their Palestinian, Brazilian, Colombian and Mexican backgrounds, but also in how deep Khaled dug within himself to make it happen.
