Here's two words you probably don't hear strung together too often: "Wizard Jews." Although if you do hear those words in sequence on a regular basis, you probably live cooler lives than we do.

But the non-awesome general public got a dose of Jewish wizardry when J.K. Rowling was answering fan questions on Twitter. One fan, Benjamin Roffman, asked the renowned "Harry Potter" about Jewish representation in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

J.K. Rowling Says She Has Regrets About Killing Off A 'Harry Pot
J.K. Rowling revealed on her Pottermore website over the weekend that she only feels guilty about killing one Harry Potter character.

The author took to her Pottermore website to discuss how she unnecessarily killed off Diagon Alley ice cream shop owner Florean Fortescue.

Fortescue, Rowling says, was originally in her plan to help Harry during his quest for the Deathly Hallows, but another character turned out as a better means, so she wrote Fortescue out.

JK Rowling To Release 12 Harry Potter Stories This Month
J.K. Rowling is giving fans a special treat for Christmas -- she's releasing 12 "Harry Potter" based stories every day until Christmas Eve. The British author revealed the news on her official Pottermore website.

Specifically, Rowling will release short stories from Dec. 12 until Dec. 24, and they will be based on fictional characters from her massively popular book and film franchise.

"Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling has been named Hollywood's Most Powerful Author.

The Hollywood Reporter's list also includes Stephen King ("Under the Dome," "Haven," "Shawshank Redemption," "The Shining") and "Game Of Thrones" mastermind George R.R. Martin.

Rounding out the top five are "Fifty Shades Of Grey" author E.L. James and romance writer Nicholas Sparks ("The Notebook," "A Walk To Remember," "The Last Song").

"Gone Girl's" Gillian Flynn, James Patterson, Michael Lewis and Laura Hillenbrand ("Unbroken") also made the trade magazine's list.

J.K. Rowling has revealed to "Harry Potter" fans that the character of Dolores Umbridge was inspired by a schoolteacher she had a strong dislike for while growing up.

The author posted on her blog Thursday that Umbridge, played by actress Imelda Staunton and one of the most hated Potter characters in the series, was inspired by one of her teachers as a child -- one whose name she won't tell, though.

Rowling posted that the person in question was one "whom I disliked intensely on sight" on her Pottermore.com website on Friday.

"Girls" star and creator Lena Dunham has promised to pay the opening acts on her book tour after she was slammed for expecting them to perform without compensation.
