Sylvester Stallone offered to boycott the 88th Annual Academy Awards to support his "Creed" director, Ryan Coogler, in a show of solidarity and response to the lack of diversity in this year's nominations.

The actor is up for a Best Supporting Actor Award at the Feb. 28th ceremony.

Stallone remarked to People Magazine that he offered to boycott the awards to show he would stand with his friend, as well as lead actor Michael B. Jordan.
