What Cartoons Would You Like To See Revived?

May 19th, 2015 8:30pm EDT
10 Classic Cartoons That Need To Be Revived
No matter how old we get, cartoons stay the same. Kind of. Although the newer ones these days may not be up to par with what we got to experience in the 90’s and early 00’s, those older ones are still subject to binge-watching on any given Saturday morning.

But sometimes, binge-watching re-runs just isn’t enough. Some networks have gotten the hint: classic shows like ‘Dragon Ball’ and ‘The Powerpuff Girls’ have gotten the chance to live again, and even the older ‘toon, ‘Danger Mouse,’ is getting a new set of legs, too. With Netflix taking control of the television industry, there’s no reas...

David Krumholtz Joins 'Madagascar' Series 'All Hail King Julien'
Netflix's Madagascar original series, All Hail King Julien, just landed an A-list addition to an already great voice cast. David Krumholtz provides the voice of new character Timo, who's King Julien's (Danny Jacobs) scientific go-to guy, and David joined us on Tuesday to discuss his first-ever voice acting role as well as his current recurring role on CBS's The Good Wife.

"It's interesting," he said of becoming a voice actor for the first time. "It's been a learning process. I've been doing this for about 23 years, and it's great at this point in my career to jump into something new and ha...

'Animation Nerd' Eric Bauza Brings 'Puss In Boots' To Netflix
DreamWorks Animation is bringing another of its iconic characters to Netflix. Following the success of Turbo FAST and last month's All Hail King Julien, here comes The Adventures of Puss in Boots, with voiceover veteran Eric Bauza taking over for Antonio Banderas as the swashbuckling cat. We sat down with Eric earlier this month to chat about the new show - and that time he voiced a ninja on Dan Vs.

Eric previously stood in for Paul Giamatti on Turbo FAST, and he told us how thrilled he was to re-team with DreamWorks and several of the same production folks on this new project.

'All Hail King Julien' Brings 'Madagascar' Favorite To Netflix
After the big-screen success of The Penguins of Madagascar, DreamWorks is giving another character from the popular Madagascar film franchise his own spin-off - this one a TV series on Netflix.

All Hail King Julien brings back Danny Jacobs as the voice of King Julien, the larger than life lemur, as audiences will get to see what he was like before the movies and before the Central Park Zoo animals descended on Madagascar.

While Julien still has lovable Mort and right-hand man Maurice to keep him company, he's also joined by "special ops" expert Clover, voiced by India de Beaufort. We rece...

'Awkward' Season 4, Episode 17 Recap: 'The New Sex Deal'
“What Would F.D.R. Do?” No doubt a question that swirled around Ken Burns thinking cap, but it’s also one Jenna posed in “Awkward” newest ep “The New Sex Deal,” where she’s facing a great big romantic depression she set in motion.

See, when she pulled the plug on the dude database it sent the hook up projections in Palos Hills High plummeting throughout the school. And the timing couldn’t be any worse, with Valentine’s Day creeping up on the feuding student body.

Jenna gets hit with anything but the love—what’s more festive than a “hurt locker full of blue balls” to honor her villainy on ...

5 Ways ‘Awkward’ Jenna Is Like Matty
I know what you’re thinking: 'Awkward's' Jenna and Matty couldn’t be any more different. You’d be right, but only when it comes to their rollercoaster of a relationship. A part (which is, sadly quite often this season) they’re more likely to rub off on each other. Jenna is certainly picking up on Matty’s dysfunctional relationship tips, and I highlight five of them below.

1. Secret Lovers- It’s almost like history repeating itself when junior cougar Jenna spurred a secret rendezvous relationship with sophomore Owen. Not unlike the one Matty initiated on Jenna seasons ago, and had her make ...

'Awkward' Season 4 Episode 14 Recap Welcome To Hell, Rejection And Acceptance

October 8th, 2014 11:13am EDT
Awkward
I have a greater appreciation for my generation where college rejection letters were literally a hard copy letter wrapped around a thin envelope of terror. And mailed to your home where you have the luxury, at the very least, to wallow in being cast off in solitude. Unfortunately Jenna’s plugged-in gen warrants a more fast-paced approach to getting that fateful response.

And how horrifying is it when our fav self-conscious gal doesn’t get the reaction she expects in a crowded classroom of college acceptees, including bestie Tamara? Epically disappointing enough to keep the truth on the D.L...

From Family Guy to American Dad to Futurama to South Park, it seems there's no shortage of animated programs out there that aim for a decidedly adult demographic with their crude humor and sexual innuendos. SpongeBob SquarePants

You don't have to be a child to know who lives in a pineapple under the sea. Spongebob SquarePants was an instant hit with critics when it launced on Nickelodeon in 1999 and achieve...
