5 Ways ‘Awkward’ Jenna Is Like Matty
I know what you’re thinking: 'Awkward's' Jenna and Matty couldn’t be any more different. You’d be right, but only when it comes to their rollercoaster of a relationship. A part (which is, sadly quite often this season) they’re more likely to rub off on each other. Jenna is certainly picking up on Matty’s dysfunctional relationship tips, and I highlight five of them below.

1. Secret Lovers- It’s almost like history repeating itself when junior cougar Jenna spurred a secret rendezvous relationship with sophomore Owen. Not unlike the one Matty initiated on Jenna seasons ago, and had her make ...

‘Law & Order SVU’ Season 16 Episode 4 Recap: ‘Holden’s Manifesto’

October 16th, 2014 9:15am EDT
Law & Order SVU
I know how the SVU writers spent their summer vacations; thumbing through newspapers for the most heinous sexual crimes that would make up season 16. We’re already four episodes deep into the season and I already want to draw up a petition removing the “no actual person is represented “disclaimer shown at the beginning of each episode.

Yet, if the well is full they might as well draw from it. In “Holden’s Manifesto” we’re introduced to Holden, a narcissistic documentarian with a penchant for getting revenge on all his unrequited loves. If you’ve recently been struck by déjà vu, it’s becaus...

'Supernatural' Season 10 Episode 2 Recap: A Demon Scorned

October 15th, 2014 11:10am EDT
Supernatural
"Supernatural" has always benefited from methodical, eccentric writing. The slow burn premiere from last week ignited into a bonfire of tragedy, snark and demon-black eyes, and our feels were the kindling. "Reichenbach" saw Demon Dean finally earn those fancy eyes of his, Sammy track down his brother and unlocked a whole new level of mythology.

Grab your stress balls and let's dive in, shall we?

This week's episode grabs viewers by the throat with a chilling cold open flashback to 2003. A teenaged Cole awakens to the dulcet tones of his father's brutal murder. The flashback is com...

The Palos Hills jocks have transformed the slam book into the phonebook in “Bonfire Vanities.” Taking a cue from Ludacris, the jocks rate their hookups and area code the girls in…you guessed it, an actual phonebook. Tamara and Jenna fight fire with fire. Hehehe… get it? Because this “Awkward” ep is about the senior bonfire…okay, and our Sadie ship Sergio pleas have finally been answered. ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 11 Episode 3 Recap Got to be Real

October 10th, 2014 9:32am EDT
grey's anatomy
In the third episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” everyone is letting their weaknesses show…to the wrong people. Meredith reclaims her voiceover duties in the “Got to be Real” episode by enlightening us on the dangers and strengths of chucking that flawless (sorry, Bey) mask and expose those worry lines of vulnerability. Below I’ve broken up the surgeries and paired them with their venting partners.

Alex and Meredith

In the aftermath of learning she is sister to yet another unfamiliar face at the hospital, Mer consults with her new person at the most inconvenient time—when Alex is lathering up his...

‘Law & Order SVU' Season 16, Episode 3 Recap Best and Worst Scenes of 'Producer's Backend'

October 9th, 2014 9:47am EDT
Law & Order: SVU
Taking another page out of the real life playbook “Producer’s Backend” centers on a former child star with a penchant for causing havoc (sound familiar?) to herself, but mostly to others around her. Fortunately, Liv gets to the root of how and why the former child star is such a law-bending emotional train wreck. Below are eight of the best and worst scenes from “Producer’s Backend.”

BEST- Miranda Rights Done Right

Amaro is still adorned in his rookie blue uniform (Thought bubble: Will we ever see him in a suit and tie again?) while responding to a traffic accident. Two women are bickerin...

'Awkward' Season 4 Episode 14 Recap Welcome To Hell, Rejection And Acceptance

October 8th, 2014 11:13am EDT
Awkward
I have a greater appreciation for my generation where college rejection letters were literally a hard copy letter wrapped around a thin envelope of terror. And mailed to your home where you have the luxury, at the very least, to wallow in being cast off in solitude. Unfortunately Jenna’s plugged-in gen warrants a more fast-paced approach to getting that fateful response.

And how horrifying is it when our fav self-conscious gal doesn’t get the reaction she expects in a crowded classroom of college acceptees, including bestie Tamara? Epically disappointing enough to keep the truth on the D.L...
