'Grey’s Anatomy' Recap 'Where Do We Go From Here'

January 30th, 2015 7:44am EST
grey's anatomy
Happy New Year, “Grey’s” watchers. The TGIT withdrawal has finally been lifted and we’re right where we left off. Derek’s more gung ho than ever to go to D.C., even at the risk of breaking his post-it note marriage vows. No matter, Meredith chucks the symbol of their commitment—the framed post-it note—in the trash. Shattering it in several pieces. (BTW nice touch with the intro, ShondaLand.)

The overarching theme of “Where Do We Go From Here” is adjusting to trauma. But the first step is getting over the shock. Meredith is proactive; she interviews a nanny that will more or less take Derek...

'Empire' Recap 'False Imposition' Cookie And Lucious Unleash Their Vulnerabilities

January 29th, 2015 10:26am EST
Empire
It’s nice to know behind the heavy makeup, ostentatious bling and loads of other materialistic excess there are beating hearts (and, for some even souls) inside the wolf pack that makes up “Empire.” How do I know? Because we watched them bleed in the most recent episode, “False Imposition.”

The fourth episode opens with Lucious (Terrence Howard) giving Hakeem another stern talking to about getting serious about his craft, being in the studio more, one upping his brother, yada, yada, yada. Speaking of Jamal, we have word he’s been cast off to the boondocks aka Bushwick, Brooklyn. Poor Dora ...

January 28th, 2015 11:45am EST
Supernatural - There's No Place Like Home
If you watched the previews for this week’s “Supernatural” and expected a whimsical thrill-ride, you were painfully, tragically misled. “There’s No Place Like Home” welcomed back adventurer Charlie Bradbury (Felicia Day), played with thematic themes of inner darkness, and saw Dean take another horrific backslide, thanks to The Mark.

Grab your favorite biggest, scariest knife, and let’s dive in, shall we?

Mark Check, 1-2-1-2 | Dean has reached a level of desperation that is downright terrifying. It’s causing him to voluntarily take actions so drastic and insane that he didn’t dare, eve...

'Archer' Season 6: Amber Nash On Post-Cocaine Pam And Dad's Gara
More Archer means more chances to talk about TV's queen of animated comedy: Amber Nash, the voice behind vastly inappropriate Human Resources rep Pam Poovey. Pam has become Archer's breakout character, and for that we can thank Amber and her talented pipes - plus the fact that she's completely fearless when it comes to delivering just about anything. And we do mean anything.

We caught up with Amber at FX's Television Critics Association presentation on Sunday to quiz her about how Pam kicked her cocaine habit from Archer Vice, get some inside information on next week's Pam-centric episode,...

'Empire' Recap: 6 Pearl-Clasping Moments Of Showdown - 'The Devi
Heavy is the head that wears the crown and Lucious’ (Terence Howard) throne was really tested in “The Devil Quotes Scripture;” third episode of “Empire.” It’s him versus the world. And the world being a pesky manager, a disloyal ex-wife and rebellious son. We countdown the six most shade-worthy showdowns in “The Devil Quotes Scripture.”

“Now, Who Needs Protection”

Within the first 15 minutes of the episode Lucious is threatened by one of his artist’s (Veronica, the bald-headed balladeer we were introduced to in the pilot episode of “Empire.”) manager. The confrontational manager sticks hi...

'Supernatural' Midseason Premiere Recap: Let The Power Be With You

January 21st, 2015 10:30am EST
Supernatural
After a lengthy hellatus (that had the silver lining of an early renewal for "Supernatural"), the sci-fi drama belly-flopped right back into the action. "The Hunter Games" was a mostly stellar episode that showed our heroes bungling through difficult situations, Sam and Dean both proving why they are the creatures demons fear, and a crapload of manipulation and trickery.

Grab your best axe and let’s dive in, shall we?

Claire and Castiel | Claire admittedly tapdanced on my nerves in the winter finale as it was the wrong time to introduce a new character. In "The Hunter Games," Kathry...

Be careful what you wish for. If you are a devoted "Arrowhead" like me, you may have been aggravated that the handsome and gigantic Diggle (David Ramsey) doesn't get to fight crime in a kickass costume. Sadly, that wish will be granted in upcoming episodes of "Arrow." With Oliver dead, Diggle will continue h...

He's Back! Coby Bell Returns To 'Archer' As Conway Stern
Yes, Virginia, Conway Stern still exists - and tonight, the fan-favorite antagonist finally makes his long-awaited return to Archer.

In "Three To Tango," the rogue agent (wonderfully voiced once again by Burn Notice and The Game star Coby Bell) pops up on the CIA's radar. Archer (H. Jon Benjamin) and Lana (Aisha Tyler) are sent to retrieve him, but naturally Archer is not ready to forgive Conway for literally stabbing him in the back.

"That was awesome. That was like the coolest thing I've ever done," Coby enthused when we asked him about his Archer guest spot in an interview after it air...
