Interview: Jeremy Renner Talks 'Kill The Messenger,' 'Avengers:
Jeremy Renner is an actor's actor. At least that's what we've come to believe. In the short time since he's exploded into the mainstream with an Oscar-nominated performance in Kathryn Bigelow's "The Hurt Locker", Renner has become something of a multi-purpose performer. He's proven his capabilities in a variety of different genres, from bank robbers to superheroes, and he seems keen on stretching his talents as far as they can go.

In his new film, the politically-charged thriller "Kill The Messenger", Renner takes on the true life tale of San Jose Mercury News journalist Gary Webb, wh...

David Fincher Sought A Modern-Day Faye Dunaway For 'Gone Girl'
Rosamund Pike reminded filmmaker David Fincher of Faye Dunaway, and that helped the actress land the role in new thriller "Gone Girl."

The director admits he would have cast Dunaway in the role if he had made the film 40 years ago. British star Pike plays the missing wife of Ben Affleck's character.

Fincher told Playboy: "I wanted Faye Dunaway in Chinatown, where you think, 'This person has experienced avenues of pain that no one can articulate. Or Faye in Network, where it's, 'You're never going to get to the bottom of this, so just stop'.

"It's crazy how much Rosamund reminds me of Fa...

Review: 'The Equalizer' A Fluffy Film That's Forgettable

Review: 'The Equalizer' A Fluffy Film That's Forgettable
For the sake of this review, I’m going to put aside my strong sentimental feelings for the highly underrated TV series upon which this movie is loosely based. And I’ll forget that it was a hard man in an unusual shell by the name of Edward Woodward that singlehandedly took a simple and somewhat familiar premise and elevated it to deep dark heights that lingered. But sadly even in the absence of such unforgettable beginnings, the new movie version of "The Equalizer" still manages to come out being just…okay. The cookie cutter mix of music video action sequences, clichéd bad guys and Denze...

Raiders of the Lost Ark blackand white
Semi-retired director Steven Soderbergh has conducted an experiment "for educational purposes only" by altering Steven Spielberg's classic 1981 film "Raiders of the Lost Ark."

Soderbergh posted his version of the film and his explanation for changing it on his blog, Extension 765, on Monday revealing that he took the entire movie and converted it to black-and-white while removing all of the film's music and dialog and replacing it with new ambient music (comprising mostly of the scores from David Fincher's films "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" and "The Social Network").

Interestingly, t...

Interview: 'Run Like Hell' Actor Canyon Prince Talks Tough Guy

September 24th, 2014 1:30pm EDT
Run Like Hell
Most great genre films have an element of surprise. Be it a clever twist, witty dialogue or a character that captivates, a strong story device out of left field can certainly raise stakes. Such is the case in the new horror movie “Run Like Hell” (now available on VOD from Gravitas Ventures), an old school homage that mixes “The Devil’s Rejects” with “The Hills Have Eyes” all with a John Carpenter-esk vibe. The film follows a group of two couples stranded in a small town where nothing is as it seems. But the interesting thing is one of the four folks Luke is a red herring of sorts - a mi...
