“Homer’s Enemy,” a classic episode of “The Simpsons” featured the story of Frank Grimes, a mild-mannered new hire at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, driven insane while forced to work alongside incompetent buffoon Homer. Since that episode aired, “Frank Grimes” has become shorthand in certain TV nerd circles for a one-off guest character who is a sort of audience surrogate who demonstrates just how maddening it would be to actually live alongside crazy TV people.

“Community” first explored this trope in Season 3’s “Competitive Ecology,” with Todd, who declared that the study group lov...

Hacking The Case With 'Stitchers'-- How Close Are We To Solving
In the run up to ABC Family's new series "Stitchers," which premieres on June 2, Starpulse has been recruited to join The Stitchers Program to "Hack The Case." The procedural drama centers on Kristen (Emma Ishta), a young woman who is recruited by a covert government agency who is "stitched" into the memories of the dead to solve crimes.

And we're doing the same thing!

Using a smartphone virtual reality viewer, we have our own case to solve. So far, we've undergone several challenging tasks to determine who killed Hazel Curtis, a 25-year-old woman who was strangled to death.

In the first...

A$AP Rocky And Other Albums To Check Out

May 26th, 2015 9:45am EDT
A$AP Rocky
In what was poised to be a ‘slower’ release week, a surprise happened – A$AP Rocky’s sophomore album, AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP. Besides A$AP, another rapper sports week’s next biggest release, Boosie Badazz. The rest of the releases are somewhat underrated and unsung, but there’s still a worthwhile crop of new albums to check out.

1) A$AP Rocky, AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP (RCA)

Ah, these days there’s nothing like the surprise album, particularly the one that rewrites the featured album of the week at the last minute (literally). A$AP Rocky adds some ‘punch’ to this week’s new releases, particular...

Here's a gorgeous overhead shot- husband and wife (and a pooch!) at the top of the photo. Says Leonard: "The people I love most in the world."

And here's the happy couple, looking exactly as cheery as you'd ex...

'Orphan Black' Continues To Wow

'Orphan Black' Recap: With One Episode, Season 3 Improves Drasti
Previously - Cosima got laid. Arthur brought Gracie to Mrs. S and Felix, and she later collapsed. We learned that the Castors' "glitch" is communicable via sex. Helena and Sarah busted Helena out of the compound's brig, but Helena (and her scorpion sidekick) left Sarah to rot.

THIS is Orphan Black. This episode was heartfelt emotion, committed performances (hell, even Dylan Bruce brought it), and startling twists. "Certain Agony of the Battlefield" was aces all-around. Maybe we were SUPPOSED to invest in the long game and wait for the wow? IMHO, it wasn't the best strategy. I have fellow ...

Native Hawaiians Slam Cameron Crowe's 'Aloha' For Insulting Thei
The Media Action Network for Asian Americans (MANAA) is very unhappy with Cameron Crowe's new film "Aloha" for not including enough Asian-Pacific Islanders in the project.

MANAA representative Guy Aoki told the New York Post in a press release, "Caucasians only make up 30 percent of the population (of Hawaii), but from watching this film, you'd think they made up 99 percent.

"This comes in a long line of films - The Descendants, 50 First Dates, Blue Crush, Pearl Harbor - that uses Hawaii for its exotic backdrop but goes out of its way to exclude the very people who live there. It's an ins...
