Snoop Dogg is joining forces with HBO to create a new drama series. The show will be written by Rodney Barnes ("The Boondocks," "Everybody Hates Chris") and be directed by Allen Hughes, according to Deadline.

Kendrick Lamar's New Album Breaks Spotify Streaming Records
Kendrick Lamar's new album "To Pimp a Butterfly," has broken streaming records on Spotify. Tracks from the record had over 9.6 million streams on the album's first full day of release, more than any LP in the streaming service's seven-year existence.

"To Pimp a Butterfly" beat the record of 9.5 million set by Michael Buble's "Christmas", released in 2011.

There was much anticipation over Lamar's latest foray into the music business and it grew more so when the album was released a week early, much to the surprise and chagrin of the rapper.
