Indie Game Spotlight - No Man's Sky
No Man's Sky shocked and awed all of gamerdom at the 2013 VGAs. Coming out of nowhere, this beautiful sci-fi exploration & survival game completely floored viewers with colorful, beautifully detailed planets, filled with exotic wildlife, sights and sounds. And we all gasped when we watched as the nameless protagonist (you) hop into their spaceship and blast off through the planet's atmosphere and into space, where a fleet of spaceships had just arrived from hyperspace.

If you haven't seen it (shame on you) we've provided it below. Do yourself a favor and give it a watch.

I remember sit...

While last year had the reveals of both the Xbox One and the Playstation 4, this years E3 wasn't about Hardware, Kinect, the Playstation Network or Xb...

20 Of The Coolest Aliens From Pop Culture
We have a fundamental obsession with the idea that aliens exist. In all probability they do - but we've got no actual idea what they might look like, sound like, think like or smell like. And if there's one thing the human mind does when it's not sure about something - it's create an identity from scratch. And that's what some of our most prolific directors and writers have done with some of the most beloved science fiction series in pop culture.

The result is a near infinite library of alien species that could very well be more extravagant than anything nature can produce. This library of...

Why Microsoft's Xbox One May Soon Catch Sony's Playstation 4
Since the start of the next-gen war in late 2013, Sony's Playstation 4 has continuously outperformed Microsoft's Xbox One in sales. You may recall that Microsoft got off to a disastorous start for its new console during last year's E3 trade show, during which Sony directly called out Microsoft for policies that were unpopular with gamers, such as an always online requirement and restrictions on who you could share games with.

While Sony continues to win the monthly sales battle as of the NPD numbers from April 2014, Microsoft has made it clear that it intends to remain in the conversation ...

Transistor: A Deep, Addictive Experience That Invites You To Play More

Transistor Review: A sublime follow-up to Bastion from Supergiant Games

Transistor is the second game from Bastion developer Supergiant Games but if you came here expecting a sophomore slump, prepare to be disappointed.

The story of Red, a lounge singer who wakes up next to a dead body and with her voice almost gone, makes for a unique and interesting tale that you don't see every day in gaming. The gorgeous hand-painted graphics are just as stunning as what you remember from Bastion and the soundtrack is good enough to put on your iPod outside of the game.

But it's the game's unique and...

Here are 7 of the best video games based on or inspired by major Hollywood franchises.

Kingdom Hearts

Ok, so the first entry isn't so much base...

Kevin Spacey
Kevin Spacey's next big role won't at your local theater or on NetFlix – it will be on your Playstation.

A trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare features Spacey as a powerful politician, not unlike his role as Frank Underwood in House of Cards, delivering a monologue on democracy.

"Democracy, democracy, democracy is not what these people need, hell it's not even what they want," Spacey's character says during scenes of war. "America has been trying to install democracy into nations for a century and it hasn't worked one time. These countries don't have the basic building...
